Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES)
The Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES), formally called the International Foundation Year (IFY), is a one-year pre-university qualification which includes a significant degree of English language teaching. The qualification is designed to provide an entry route to UK and international university courses or progression onto the NCC Education Level 4 Diplomas in Computing, Business and Business IT.
The Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) aims to improve general and academic English language ability, enhance study skills and cultural understanding and introduce academic study in English in the fields of computing and/or business at a suitable level.

In partnership with NCC Education UK based in Manchester, SIST offers a full year International Foundation Year leading up to a worldwide recognised L3IFD qualification which would allow you access to some of the UK’s top universities. SIST has been an officially accredited NCC partner since 2019, allowing students to study for one year in Morocco and then pursue their studies in the United Kingdom.
Whatever your BAC major (PC/ SVT/ Maths etc) you can apply to join the International Foundation Year with NCC, taught entirely in our Morocco campuses (Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier).

For entry onto the NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) qualification students must have successfully completed secondary school / High School education namely:
- Baccalaureate / International Baccalaureate (IB) / A Levels / (O Levels and IGCSEs are also accepted)
Students must also meet the English language entry requirements of:
- Academics IELTS minimum score of 4.5 or above
- GCE ‘O’ Level English D7 or above
- Oxford Online Test B1 (This test is taken at SIST campuses (Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier). Test fee = 200 DH.
Assessments for all units will be offered in a minimum of two assessment cycles throughout the year (February and May). The units are assessed by either written examination or assignment.
All examination papers are sent by post from NCC Education, UK prior to the examination date. After the examination, all papers are sent back to the UK for marking and feedback and then sent back to the students here in Morocco. The marking and feedback period takes about a month.
Retakes have a similar process and take place in July.
